Dar Al Atta’a honours Oman Arab Bank
Muscat, May 17, 2017: Oman Arab Bank (OAB), last Tuesday, was honoured by Dar Al Atta’a at a Gala Dinner hosted by the organization at the Al Bustan Palace – A Ritz Carlton Hotel. The event was held under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin As’ad bin Tariq Al Said. OAB was honoured at the ceremony in appreciation of its continuous support of the charitable organization and its various activities across the Sultanate.
The Bank was represented at the event by Amin Al Husseini, Chief Executive Officer of OAB, together with members of Bank’s senior management and a number of staff from the Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility departments.
Commenting on the occasion, Hilal bin Omar Al Siyabi, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility Department at OAB said, “What Dar Al Atta’a has done over the past years and still doing is truly a noble act that deserves our full appreciation, support, and praise. Their activities and initiatives have influenced and left a mark in every single village of the Sultanate. As part of our commitment to our beloved country and its people, we consider it our responsibility to support these efforts and help them achieve their noble goals. Receiving this honour today is a testimony of the strength of our long standing relationship with Dar Al Att’a; one that I am confident will continue for many years to come.”
OAB aims to reflect its success in the banking sector on the corporate social responsibility front. In line with this objective, the Bank ensures its social work goes beyond just financial support and towards a more comprehensive framework that involves the Bank staff; encouraging them to voluntarily assist in each of the various social activities the Bank, or the organizations it supports, are involved in.
Dar Al Atta’a is a non-profit volunteer- based charity that was formed in 2002 and was formally registered as a Charity organisation in 2006 with the Ministry of Social Development. Dar Al Atta’a runs a number of programs and activities including Family Welfare, Education Care, Empowerment, Disaster Relief and other activities specific to Islamic values like Ramadan relief, Eid, and Zakat – among others.
