Job Title: Microsoft Specialist
Job Summary:
We seek a knowledgeable and experienced Microsoft Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will manage and maintain our Microsoft environments, including Exchange Server, SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy, CIS compliance, and Azure services. The Microsoft Specialist will ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of our Microsoft systems. They will play a key role in planning, implementing, and upgrading these systems across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft operating systems and software (e.g., Windows Server, Windows 11, Office 365).
• Manage and administer Exchange Server environments, including mailbox management, email routing, and security configurations.
• Deploy and manage software deployments, updates, and patches using SCCM.
• Configure and manage Active Directory services, including user accounts, group policies, and security settings.
• Implement and enforce CIS (Center for Internet Security) benchmarks and best practices for Microsoft systems.
• Monitor Azure environments, including virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure integration of Microsoft systems with other enterprise applications and services.
• As a Microsoft Specialist, you will be at the forefront of planning and executing system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery procedures. Your expertise and proactive approach
will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of our Microsoft systems. As a Microsoft Specialist, you will be the go-to person for providing technical support and
troubleshooting Microsoft-related issues. Your problem-solving skills and in-depth knowledge will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our Microsoft systems. Document system
configurations, processes, and procedures.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Microsoft Specialist or similar role, with at least [8 years] of expertise in Exchange Server, SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy, CIS standards, and
Azure. Deep understanding of Microsoft operating systems, applications, and services.
• Hands-on experience with Exchange Server administration, including mailbox management and email security.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing software updates and patches using SCCM.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory management, including group policies and security settings.
• Familiarity with CIS benchmarks and best practices for securing Microsoft environments.
• Experience with Azure services, including virtual machines, Azure Active Directory, and Azure networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, Exchange Server, SCCM) are a plus.
Qualification Required:
• Experience with hybrid and cloud-based Microsoft solutions, including Office 365 and Azure AD.
• Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell) for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
