Oman Arab Bank Golden Sponsor of Ministry of Housing Football Tournament 2017

Muscat | 26 March 2017: As part of its commitment to the local community, and to promote a healthy and social lifestyle by supporting sporting events and educational activities, Oman Arab Bank (OAB), has for the third consecutive year proudly sponsored the Ministry of Housing Football Tournament 2017, as a gold sponsor.

Commenting on the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles, Rashad Al-Musafir, Deputy CEO of OAB said, “At OAB we believe in the importance of maintaining a close partnership between the Bank and the community we operate in, and this is supported by our ongoing CSR programmes and initiatives. Our sponsorship of the Ministry of Housing Football Tournament 2017 falls within the same framework. For the 2017 edition, six teams representing the General Directorates of the ministry participated in the football tournament. With strong competitiveness, the tournament saw the Undersecretary and planning team and the Ghala office team qualify for the finals from the first group. As with the second group, Minister’s office team and Muscat office team were gained entry into the finals.

“We would like to congratulate the winning teams, and our special congratulations go to the team from the Minister’s office for winning the tournament trophy, as well as wishing all the best for the other teams in upcoming tournaments.” Al-Musafir concluded.
